The hook for this movie is whether or not Silver\'s psychic powers are genuine, or whether his simply another fake, and the audience is kept guessing (and kept guessing very well) for the length of the movie. But there are other good things here - the story never proceeds exactly as you expect it to, there are some very unexpected turns in the path taken, and you are kept engaged all the way through, with a satisfying ending. It must be said that once you think about it for 10 minutes afterwards, the whole thing falls to pieces, but that doesn\'t diminish the enjoyment you got from it while it was in progress. Weaver is good - probably as good as she has ever been - De Niro is solid, and Murphy is OK, albeit somewhat hamstrung by what the plot requires Buckley\'s character to be. Elizabeth Olsen and Toby Jones are both good in supporting roles. There is an unpleasantly violent sequence towards the end, which went beyond what I felt was necessary to achieve its purpose but, otherwise, I enjoyed the telling of this story.$

Anderson came up with an ingenious way of bringing back characters who had suffered brutal deaths in the previous films, including Rain (Michelle Rodriguez, and always great playing several characters) and Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory in acting weak and full of catchphrases). Carlos (Oded Fehr, great), Luther West (Boris Kodjoe, good) and Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts) also return in style. Who gives a show is China\'s Li Bingbing (\'The Forbidden Kingdom\'), who lives Ada Wong, Wesker agent that fights alongside Alice. Very comfortable in the role, she will win over fans of the games and movies. Johann Urb also shows great talent as Leon Scott Kennedy. The sequence in which Alice appears as a simple housewife in the suburbs is the best, showing that what is missing is the action excessive leave aside and return to the horror genre - Anderson seems to know that driving with more wisdom. \'Resident Evil 5: Retribution\' will appeal to fans of the franchise and action movies, with breathtaking sequences and doses of suspense and laughs volunteers - but starts to show some wear. But when a corrupt lawman from Chicago named Charlie Rakes(Guy Pierce) has been brought in as a new special deputy to make life tough for the Bondurants and their business,the Bondurants must band together and put a stop to it. Lawless is a great film from beginning to end that will have you glued to the screen but will divide viewers because in it\'s own way Lawless subverts the gangster movie genre because it\'s not a morality tale or a rise and fall gangster film like we\'ve seen in the past it\'s a story about a family of brothers trying to survive and defend themselves from enemies. The direction by John Hillcoat is wonderful, bringing the same grit and style that Hillcoat brought to the underrated,overlooked western The Proposition and his other underrated film the Cormac McCarthy adaptation The Road.
